Abstract

Sesame plants (Sesamum indicum L.) are agricultural commodities that have agro-industrial potential as important raw materials for food products, oil, and various industries. Ultisol soil is developed for the addition of organic materials that can improve nutrient content. One of the
fertilizers used is chicken manure because it has optimal N, P, K content.  Then combined with Mycorrhiza because it can help plants absorb nutrients. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and obtain the best interaction between chicken manure and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on the growth and production of sesame plants (Sesamum indicum L.). This research was conducted experimentally using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of two factors, namely A (Chicken Manure) consisting of 3 levels, and factor B (Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi) consisting of 3 levels, and each had 3 replications, the number of experimental units was 27 plots. The treatment levels tested were Factor A0 without giving chicken manure, A1 giving chicken manure 250 g/plant, A2 giving chicken manure 500 g/plant. Factor B0 without giving arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. B1 giving arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi 35g/plant, B2 giving arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi 70g/plant. Based on the results of the research conducted, the provision of chicken manure and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi had a significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, wet stem weight, number of fruits, fruit weight, and seed weight per plant with the best treatment being A2B2 with a dose of chicken manure of 500 g/plant and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi of 70 g/plant.
