PENGARUH PERBANDINGAN KOMPOSISI MEDIA TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN SETEK TANAMAN STEVIA (Steviarebaudiana B.)

Abstract

Stevia has potential as a natural sugar substitute sweetener that has been used by countries in South America and Japan for many years. Using a good planting medium is one of the efforts to increase plant production. The study aimed to determine the effect of the composition of planting media on the growth of cuttings of stevia plants. The research was conducted at the Experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta in December 2024 - February 2025. The study used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD), with five treatments and five replications, namely P0: soil + husk + cow manure (2:1:1) (control), P1: soil + cow manure (1:1), P2: soil + husk (1:1), soil + compost (1:1), P3: soil + compost + cow manure (2:1:1). The results showed that the effect of the composition of the planting media had a significant effect on the age of the leaves. The treatment of soil + cow manure (1:1) showed better vegetative growth
